Walton High School Rising 9th Grade, Class of 2029

Parents & Guardians of rising 9th graders (Walton Class of 2029), please save the date for our Spring Presentation on Tuesday, March 4, 2025

Walton High School Theater
Presentation 1 - 5pm
Presentation 2 - 6pm

**Parents/Guardians must attend the presentation first before speaking to department heads. You may attend either presentation.

There will be two identical presentations which will include a general overview of our academic program. Administrators will also preview Walton’s many academic and extra-curricular opportunities. Department Heads and Counselors will be available to answer questions after both presentations.
Parents/Guardians from Dickerson and Dodgen should bring your student’s course list to the meeting.

Please note -for those unable to attend, the presentation will be posted on the Walton School Counseling website: 8th Grade Articulation

International Spanish Academy Information:

Important Dates:

November 19, 2024: Information Meeting and applications available 6-7 pm in Walton's Lecture Hall
January 17, 2025: Applications due to Walton
February 14, 2025: Decisions mailed to students
February 24, 2025: Acceptance to program due

December 13, 2024: Applications due to Walton High School
January 10, 2025: Students outside CCSD submit report cards
February 14, 2025: Admission decision mailed to applicants
February 27, 2025: FAQ Night 5:30-6:30 pm, Pathway classroom
March 3, 2025: Intent letters due back by accepted students

Friday, Feb 7th – Core Recommendations completed by Math, Science, English, and Social Studies teachers
Monday, Feb 24th - Copy of core recommendations sent home with students
Thursday, Feb 27th - Rising 9th Grade Academic Meeting in the Performing Arts Center (New Building) at 7:00pm.
Friday, March 14th – All course waivers due

December 4, 2024: In-Person Academy Interviews @ Pope High School
